Since the enactment of the American Taxpayer Relief Act (ATRA), America has shifted from a two dimensional tax system to a multi-dimensional tax system. Long gone are the days when practitioners only had to consider the regular income tax brackets and the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT). Today, practitioners must also consider the 3.8% net investment income tax (NIIT) and the additional brackets for high income taxpayers.

With the Tax Rate Evaluator software, you will see the full picture – the effect the new multi-dimensional tax system will have on your client.

Simply enter the client’s actual or estimated financial information and the rest is done for you. The “Annual Tax Rate Evaluator,” “SID,” and “Annual Graphs” provide the tax analysis for one year. The “15-Year Projection,” “15-Year Summary,” and “15-Year Graphs” provide the projected tax analysis over the next 15 years. The “IRA Distribution Calculator” shows the IRA distributions clients will receive over their lifetime. The “Gain Harvesting Calculator,” “Loss Harvesting Calculator,” “Social Security Module,” and “3.8% Surtax Module” help you apply the latest planning ideas to the new reality.

The Tax Rate Evaluator includes the following modules:

  1. Annual Tax Rate Evaluator
  2. "SID"- Strategic Income Diagnostician
  3. Annual Graphs
  4. 15-Year Projection
  5. 15-Year Summary
  6. 15-Year Graphs
  7. Gain Harvesting Calculator
  8. Loss Harvesting Calculator
  9. IRA Distribution Calculator
  10. Social Security Module
  11. 3.8% NIIT Surtax Module

The calculators are designed for planning, and should not be used for tax filing purposes.
