Speaker Bio

Janemarie Mulvey
PhD

Economist and award-winning author Janemarie Mulvey, PhD, has more than 25 years' experience in the analysis of retirement, health care, and tax policy. During the enactment and implementation of the Affordable Care Act, she served as a Senior Health Economist at the Congressional Research Service. She also served as Chief Economist for the Small Business Administration's Office of Advocacy. She recently authored Health Reform: What Small Businesses Need to Know Now!

Dr. Mulvey has written extensively on Social Security and Medicare issues and was co-author of Entitlements and the Elderly: Protecting Promises and Recognizing Realities. Her career includes Director of Economic Research at the American Council of Life Insurers, and Deputy Director of the Research Information Center at Watson Wyatt Worldwide. Earlier in her career, she was an Economist at the Urban Institute and AARP.

William F. (Bill) Taylor, CPA

Bill Taylor is the President of Renasant Bank in Water Valley, Mississippi and an Employee Benefit Advisor for Renasant Financial Services. Bill has been an employee benefit and investment consultant for nearly 20 years. He began his career as the Employee Benefits Coordinator in the Jackson office of KPMG Peat Marwick and managed his own firm for 10 of those years.  

A nationally known consultant and speaker, Bill has conducted seminars for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries, over 40 states CPA and Bar Associations, and other organizations. He was named an AICPA Outstanding Discussion Leader in 2008. Bill is also the author of Taxation of Employee Benefits, Volume I and Volume II, and his articles have appeared in numerous publications.
